The Wisconsin Department of Justice is investigating a recent surge in threats targeting schools, including yesterday’s threats to Brillion Schools.
This incident is one of many this week, contributing to what officials label a ‘threat wave.’
So far, none of the threats, which have impacted numerous school districts across the state, have been verified.
Trish Kilpin from the Wisconsin Office of School Safety reported that over 100 threats have been received, many through the state’s Speak Up, Speak Out tip line.
Investigators are still trying to identify the source of these threats.
Last year, similar threats were traced to out-of-state and international sources.
