U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin has announced that the city of Green Bay is set to receive a significant amount of federal money.
$2.4 million in federal funding is going to Green Bay for the installation of a wildlife viewing platform and shoreline walk at the Bay Beach amusement park on Lake Michigan.
Funding for the project comes from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, for which Baldwin has worked to secure continued funding in the annual appropriations process and the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
Baldwin-backed Great Lakes Restoration Initiative has made over 1,200 projects possible throughout Wisconsin’s Great Lakes basin.
Senator Baldwin said, “Wisconsin’s fresh coasts and the communities on them are not only home to so many Wisconsin families, but they are also a critical driver for our economy and tourism.”
