According to preliminary data, most of the University of Wisconsin’s two-year campuses are seeing fewer students this fall.
Five of the nine open branch campuses reported enrollment declines, including UW-Eau Claire Barron County.
A few, like UW-Whitewater Rock County, saw slight increases, but by only a handful of students.
However, UW Green Bay Manitowoc Campus reports an increase in enrollment of 22%
The UW System has warned these campuses that if they don’t boost enrollment, they could face closure.
