A fire in Fond du Lac has left one individual recovering from injuries.
WBAY reports Fond du Lac Fire Rescue crews were called just after 11:00 p.m. yesterday (September 23rd) for a fire in duplex in the 200 block of Packer Street.
Arriving crews observed large flames on the backside of the building and smoke emanating from the second floor.
Reports also stated someone was trapped on the second floor inside, however the individual escaped through a window on the second floor prior to the firefighter’s arrival.
This individual was later taken to a local hospital to treat their injuries.
The blaze took 45 minutes to put out and the residence suffered extensive fire, smoke, and water damage during the fire fight along with some damage to a nearby garage and vehicle.
Currently no cause of fire was given and the incident remains under investigation.
