The two people involved in a deadly crash in western Manitowoc County last week have been identified.
Sheriff Dan Hartwig announced yesterday (September 23rd) that one of the men was 72-year-old Kenneth S. Puetz of Kiel.
He was driving a Ford Focus when it was hit by a Volkswagen Jetta, driven by 18-year-old Anthony D. Mahloch of Malone, WI, on County Highway X and Louis Corners Road last Friday (September 20th) morning.
Puetz was pronounced dead at the scene, while Mahloch was taken to ThedaCare in Neenah with severe injuries, which he would later die from.
Hartwig says, “On behalf of the Sheriff’s Office, we offer our deepest condolences to those affected by this tragic incident. The crash remains under investigation.”
