A routine traffic stop in Fond du Lac County resulted in two major drug arrests.
The traffic stop occurred on September 15th, just after 6:00 p.m., on I-41 after a deputy observed a vehicle with an illegible temporary registration plate.
During the stop, K9 Rip was deployed and alerted authorities to the presence of drugs.
A search of the vehicle found roughly 21 grams of individually packaged black tar heroin.
The driver, a 47-year-old Milwaukee man, and the passenger, a 34-year-old Milwaukee man, were both arrested.
Once at the Fond du Lac County Jail, additional drugs were located on each of the Milwaukee men.
Approximately two grams of cocaine were found on the 47-year-old, and roughly two grams of psilocybin mushrooms were found on the 34-year-old.
Both men face charges of possession with the intent to deliver heroin, while both are facing separate charges of possession of the drugs found on them after their arrest.
Additionally, both men’s charges carry a repeat offender modifier as each has previous drug-related convictions.
