The Redeemer Lutheran Church will be holding a shoe drive to raise money and help those less fortunate.
The Drive and Drop Community Shoe Drive will be held on October 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Church in Manitowoc.
They are asking for you to collect new or gently used shoes, including sports shoes but excluding skates, to be donated.
The shoes will be sent overseas to communities that could greatly use the help.
The shoe drive will also support local businesses as well.
The funds collected in this event will be calculated by the weight of the shoes donated.
These funds will then go back to the Redeemer Lutheran Youth Group as they prepare for the National Youth Gathering in New Orleans next summer.
To participate in the shoe drive, place the shoes you wish to donate in your trunk, drive through the Redeemer Lutheran parking lot, and pop your trunk.
The shoes will be taken by someone from the church.
