New York Times best-selling author Dan Egan will be speaking at an upcoming event in Sheboygan.
Flowing into Our Future, an annual fundraising event, will be held at Kiwanis Park on September 28th from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The fundraiser will be highlighted by an educational conversation with author Dan Egan, who is best known for writing the books The Death and Life of the Great Lakes and The Devil’s Element: Phosphorus and the World Out of Balance.
Egan is now a senior water policy fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Freshwater Sciences.
The event will also have a silent auction raffling off different experiences, such as a frigate ride on Lake Michigan and a shorebird birding trip.
The fundraising event is hosted by the Glacial Lakes Conservancy, a non-profit that aims to permanently preserve and protect land and water resources.
