A Kaukauna woman has been arrested for criminal damage to new homes.
Kaukauna Police announced that on Tuesday (September 24th), they made an arrest in relation to reports of newly constructed homes being damaged from 2021 through 2024.
Throughout the police investigation, it was discovered that the suspect entered newly built homes and turned on water fixtures, resulting in extensive water damage.
It was also found that she attempted to enter other homes to do the same but was unsuccessful. In total, the suspect caused over $230,000 in damage.
Four charges of criminal damage to property and four charges of burglary for the Kaukauna woman have been forwarded to the Outagamie County District Attorney’s Office.
Police are also aware that the suspect entered numerous other unidentified homes and are requesting local contractors, builders, and homeowners to contact Detective Kohl at 920-766-6333 if they believe additional damage has gone unreported.
