Wisconsinites can start voting on what moves on in the Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin contest.
The top 16 products were announced by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) yesterday (September 25th), and over 40,000 votes were cast for the 130 products nominated for the contest.
The #1 seed is the Door County Candle Companies Ukraine Candle, but several other eastern Wisconsin business products also made the cut.
Closer to home, Carbliss made in Plymouth made the #3 seed, while Jolly Good Soda in Random Lake is ranked 13.
Other products include Dauntless Evaporator Smoky Lake Maple Products out of Hilbert, Oaks Chocolate Liqueur from Sturgeon Sprits in Oshkosh, Southpaw Road Holders from Classic Gears and Machining in Denmark, and Military Medals and Insignia from Medalcraft Mint in Green Bay.
Those and other products are part of the first round of Manufacturing Madness, a March Madness-style bracket competition where Wisconsin residents can vote in the top 8 things made in Wisconsin on their way to #1.
Voting for the first round of 16 is open now and will end on Tuesday, October 1st at 5:00 pm.
You can vote in the first round on the WMC’s website.
