The City of Manitowoc wants to hear from community members ahead of the zoning code update.
The city has put out a survey for residents to get feedback which will build on the vision for the Comprehensive Plan.
This vision of the Comprehensive Plan states, “The City of Manitowoc will support, encourage, and integrate residential, manufacturing, commercial, cultural, and recreational communities for our citizens and visitors, with a special emphasis on our lakefront, river corridor, and downtown.”
Zoning determines what can and cannot be developed on all properties in Manitowoc.
It also organizes the city into its separate neighborhoods, industrial areas, downtown, and much more.
If you are interested in voicing your opinion on what the needs and interests of Manitowoc should be you can fill out the survey online which will take eight to ten minutes to complete.
