UW-Stout is adding a new feature to its campus—a state-of-the-art ESports arena.
The arena, funded by a $1 million donation from the UW-Stout Foundation and Alumni Association, will provide a dedicated space for the university’s ESports teams, which currently play in a modified classroom.
Due to space limitations, some students have had to compete from home.
The new facility, set to be located on the first floor of the library, will offer enough space for 50 athletes, equipped with 34 computers, a team area, and seating for spectators to watch televised matches.
Construction is expected to begin in March 2025, with completion by that fall.
