The work on Wisconsin Highways 54 and 57 has been completed on time and under budget.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation announced that the 4.4-mile project in Green Bay between University Way and WIS 57 is now done.
The $7.6 million contract began in May and saw major improvements for Wisconsin drivers while coming in under cost.
Work done over the past five months included resurfacing the roadways on the highway and multiple on and off ramps, as well as the addition of curb ramps, beam guards, and culvert end walls.
The Wisconsin DOT states the project will reduce roadway roughness while extending the highway’s service life and decreasing the need for future maintenance.
Additionally, new rumble strips, curb ramps, and beam guards will improve motorist safety.
