The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is now accepting applications for this year’s Hunter Recruitment, Retention, and Reactivation (R3) grants.
The R3 grant program gives funding to educate individuals on the knowledge, attitudes, and skills needed to be responsible and safe hunters.
They also provide instruction on firearm operations, ethics, and game laws.
In total, the grant pool is $250,000 and is limited to a max of $25,000 per recipient. Individuals and community organizations, Wisconsin tribes, and schools are eligible to apply for and receive R3 grants.
Previous recipients in the program include learn-to-hunt programs, hunting-related expos, and archery range upgrades, amongst others.
The deadline to apply for R3 grants is October 15th at 11:59 p.m.
