A man is pleading not guilty to drug charges in regards to a case involving a two-year-old ingesting fentanyl.
Fox 11 reports that 42-year-old Faheem Jones will return to an Outagamie County courtroom on November 6th.
While Jones is not charged directly in the death of the two-year-old, police say they found a backpack with a stolen gun, ammunition, and a plastic bag with over 1,400 pills that tested positive for fentanyl when Jones was doing laundry.
The two-year-old’s mother, Brooke Seal, is facing charges in the girl’s death.
She was arrested after a toxicology report showed the girl died from exposure to fentanyl, but it’s unknown how the child got access to it.
Jones is charged with possession with intent to deliver fentanyl and recklessly endangering safety.
Seal is facing charges of neglecting a child; the consequence is death.
She has a trial set for December 2nd.
