Harold L. Luebke, age 88, a Valders resident, passed away Saturday, September 28, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born September 13, 1936 in Newton, Wisconsin, son of the late Lester and Linda (Schreiber) Luebke. Harold attended Kiel High School, graduating with the class of 1954. Following graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army. On June 6, 1959 he married Annabel Sieker at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. He was employed at Vogel Chevrolet in Kiel, retiring after many years of service. Harold was also a member of the Midlakes Rustic Iron Club. He enjoyed camping and traveling, as well as spending time with his family and many friends. On May 22, 2024, Harold was proud to go on the Honor Flight with his son-in-law, Sean. He was active in his grandchildren’s lives, especially attending sporting events and concerts.
Harold is survived by his wife: Ann Luebke; son: Dean Luebke; daughter and son-in-law: Kara (Sean) Sieracki; four grandchildren: Cody (Courtney) Sieracki, Jordan Sieracki, Savannah Luebke, and Payton Sieracki; three great-grandchildren: Cassidy, Cooper, and Carter; two sisters-in-law: Naomi and Julianne Luebke; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Alan (Marlene) Sieker, Ron (Doris) Sieker, Karen Sieker-Stubbe (Richard Christensen), and Terry (Linda) Sieker. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Lester and Linda Luebke; five brothers: Henry (Myra) Luebke, Alfred Luebke, Roy Luebke, Wayne Luebke, and David Luebke; two sisters: Lila (Arland) Vogt and Loretta (Alvin) Kracht; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Vincent and Elaine Sieker; one sister-in-law and two brothers-in-law: Richard Stubbe and Judith (Robert) Lischka; and one nephew: Jeffrey Vogt.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11303 Wehausen Road, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Daniel Foelske. Following the service, military honors will be accorded at church. Harold will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The visitation will continue on Friday, October 4, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harold’s name to Manitowoc Lutheran High School or Trinity Lutheran Church.
