Wisconsin lawmakers will hear expert testimony today as they continue deliberating on how to manage the state’s Sandhill Crane population.
The Legislative Council Study Committee on Sandhill Cranes will gather in Madison to listen to presentations from experts, including representatives from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the University of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Waterfowl Association.
Over the coming months, the committee plans to develop recommendations for lawmakers to consider next year.
