As the season continues the Lincoln Girls Swim team is happy with the results so far this season.
As the ships strive to continue their goal of winning meets.
Head coach Aaron Stachovak said he is pleased and proud with the girls’ performance in meets this year.
“Our girls, they are stepping up to the challenges that are before them,” he revealed. “We’ve had some really good swims.”
Stachovak also talks about Annika Stranzy and how she is a seasoned leader of the team and how he can count on her to keep stepping up.
“This is her second year as team captain, and she’s a very, very good leader for the team,” Coach Stachovak explained. “She’s been stepping up and taking on some hard roles.”
Of course, there is always room for improvement.
“That last 25 yards of any race is where you got to dig down deep into the heart and find that ability to finish your race,” he noted. “We’re getting a lot better at it, but there’s still a lot of room to grow right there.”
The Ships next meet is Tuesday, October 8th, where they will be swimming against Sheboygan Co-op at Sheboygan North High School.
