Three pounds of methamphetamine were seized thanks to a traffic stop in Fond du Lac County.
The traffic stop occurred on I-41 near Lost Arrow Road just before 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday (October 1st).
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office K9 handler made the routine stop for a registration violation.
The driver of the vehicle was a 34-year-old man from Chicago.
During the stop, the deputy deployed the K9 for an open-air sniff of the vehicle.
The K9 alerted the deputy to the presence of illegal narcotics, and a vehicle search was conducted.
During the search, roughly 3.1 pounds or 1,408 grams of methamphetamine were found, and the Chicago man was placed under arrest.
The 34-year-old is being held at the Fond du Lac County Jail on a charge of possession with the intent to manufacture/deliver methamphetamine.
