Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce (WMC) is celebrating October as Manufacturing Month.
The WMC, the state’s combined chamber of commerce, its members, partners, and communities recognize the importance of manufacturing on the state’s economy as one in every six workers in the state works in the field.
Manufacturing is the state’s top industry, contributing more than $71 million to the economy.
To celebrate the month and Wisconsin’s manufacturers, WMC will be hosting events across the state, including some in the area.
Today (October 3rd), a manufacturing day hiring event will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Worthington Enterprises in Chilton.
Other events in the area include an ATECH manufacturing inspirations event at Docommun, Inc. in Appleton, as well as a facility tour of U.S. LBM in Green Bay.
