A woman was arrested after causing a commotion in downtown Manitowoc.
Officers were called to the area of North 9th and Buffalo Streets sometime Thursday (October 3rd) to investigate a reported incident.
The caller claimed the 28-year-old woman had been running into traffic and pulling on car door handles while telling a man walking with her, “I don’t know you.”
The officers located the woman, whom they knew from previous contacts. She was with a man who stated he had been dating the woman for a few months and that the two had been drinking at a nearby bar.
The woman was said to have slurred speech and a strong odor of intoxicants on her breath despite having an open bail case demanding absolute sobriety.
While she was taken into custody, the woman reportedly attempted to kick one of the officers but did not make contact. She is facing three counts of felony bail jumping.
