A medical emergency involving a driver led to a series of collisions that injured a runner during yesterday’s Milwaukee Marathon.
Cudahy police report that a 68-year-old woman experienced an unspecified medical issue, causing her to sideswipe a parked car, crash into another vehicle, and eventually strike a marathon runner.
The woman, the other driver, and the runner were all transported to the hospital.
Details on their conditions have not been released yet.
The crash occurred on Lake Drive, where half of the road had been closed off for the marathon.
