Oshkosh Police have arrested a man after a hit-and-run over the weekend.
Police were called to the area of New York Avenue and Goss Court just before 3:00 am last Friday (October 5th) and found a pedestrian lying in the roadway and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle.
The vehicle left the scene prior to officers arriving and traveled westbound over the Congress Avenue Bridge.
The pedestrian did receive life-saving measures but was later pronounced dead at the scene.
A 21-year-old man has since been arrested in the death of the pedestrian and taken to the Winnebago County Jail after Oshkosh Police asked the public to help find him.
If there is any extra security camera footage, police asked residents to turn it over.
