A Crivitz man shot his wife and then took his own life once police arrived.
The Marinette County Sheriff’s Office received a call on Sunday (October 6th) just after 5:00 p.m. reporting a male had shot his wife several times in the Town of Stephenson.
The victim, Erica J Noble, also of Crivitz, was transported away from the scene by an unnamed individual but later died due to her gunshot wounds.
The shooter, Troy D Noble, was also said to still be at the residence and armed.
The Marinette County Special Response Team, Crisis Negotiations, and drone team quickly responded to the scene.
Law enforcement’s attempts to contact Noble, asking him to surrender, were unsuccessful.
Eventually, the suspect exited the home and took his own life via a self-inflicted gunshot.
The case remains under investigation by the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office.
