Manitowoc Lutheran are the Big East Red Conference Champions.
The Lancers’ volleyball team hosted St. Mary Catholic at Lancer Circle last night in a battle for the crown.
The teams did not disappoint.
The Lancers started strong, earning a 25-16 win in the first set, and battled to a 25-20 win in the second.
The Zephyrs fought back in the next two sets, tying the match with 22-25 and 23-25 wins, bringing it all down to a fifth set tiebreaker.
The Lancers found their spark again, taking the final set 15-7, and securing their regular season championship.
With the win, the Lancers improve to 26-6, and a perfect 6-0 in conference play.
The Lancers will get a few days to recover before they travel to the Community First Champion Center in Appleton for the Big East Conference meet on Saturday (October 12th).
