Projects in Northeastern Wisconsin have received funding from the U. S. Department of Agriculture to lower energy costs and create jobs.
As part of the Investing in America Agenda, the Rural Energy for America Program has given $104 million to agricultural Producers and rural small businesses.
Stecker Machine Company of Manitowoc was the recipient of over $43,000 to purchase high-efficiency LED lighting which will save them, on average, $19,000 a year in electrical costs.
Both Parms Landscape Management in Plymouth and 4228 Church Road LLC in Waldo received funding to build and install solar energy arrays.
Both projects will significantly lower yearly energy costs as well as replace thousands of kilowatt hours per year.
Other area recipients included Zeta Group Engineering of Wrightstown and Full Circle Community Farm in Seymour, who were awarded $81,470 and $40,850, respectively.
The 302 awards given out will create jobs in the industry while slashing energy costs across the United States.
