There is a new member of the Brown County Harbor Commission.
The Brown County Board of Supervisors recently approved Brown County executive Troy Streckenbach’s appointment of Ann Franz to the team.
Franz is the executive director of the Northeast Wisconsin (NEW) Manufacturing Alliance and has experience working in both the private and public sectors.
During her time at the NEW Manufacturing Alliance, Franz has presented at conferences across the country on how to develop and grow industry sector partnerships.
The Alliance has received state and international awards from the Department of Public Instruction, ACTE’s Business & Education Partnership award and Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Leadership Council’s Talend Management award, among others.
Port Director Dean Haen said that Franz “brings valuable expertise to the Harbor Commission, further strengthening the commission’s ability to serve the community and support the stability and growth of one of the region’s most important economic assets.”
