The Wisconsin Farmers Union (WFU) is gearing up to attend its 94th annual state convention later this year.
It has been announced that the 94th WFU State Convention will be held from December 13th to the 15th in Wisconsin Dells.
The weekend will begin that Friday at 10:00 a.m. with a Groundswell event named “Engaging in Respectful Dialogue: Ethanol as a Case Study.”
The official convention will kick off the following day at 9:00 a.m., beginning with presidential remarks.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Austin Frerick, a Fellow of the Thurman Arnold Project at Yale University who will speak on the concentration of power in the American food system.
The WFU will also be electing directors for their state board in District 3 on the final day.
The convention will be open to the public, however, only WFU members will be able to vote on policy issues.
