No one was injured after a skid steer caught fire over the weekend.
The Freedom Fire Department was called to the 2600 block of Holland Road in Freedom at 10:50 a.m. Saturday (October 12th).
The call reported a structure fire with visible smoke and flames.
Upon arrival, fire crews found a skid steer inside a shed with flames and smoke emanating from the engine compartment.
The Freedom firefighters extinguished the blaze within five minutes of arrival at the scene.
Once the fire was put out, the skid steer was removed from the shed to be ventilated, and all fire units were cleared at 11:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire and the cost of damages are not yet known.
Vandenbroek Kaukauna Fire Department and first responders, Freedom EMS, Gold Cross Ambulance, Outagamie County Sheriff’s Office and Communications Center all assisted the Freedom Fire Department in the response.
