The Fond du Lac Police Department has recognized the work done by their K9 handlers.
Officers Ben Hardgrove and K9 Jesus, Matt Burr and K9 Gambo, Kyle Hoefer and K9 Brux, and Charles Beckford and K9 Lex were recognized for hosting the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Canine Handler Association’s (WLECHA) yearly conference.
Every year, hundreds of K9 officers statewide come together for the four-day WLECHA conference.
Last week, the Fond du Lac PD and its K9 officers hosted over 170 K9s to participate in scenario-based training.
This included narcotics searches, medical treatments, and tactical situations to challenge and teach teams how to be better equipped to serve their communities.
The Fond du Lac Police Department thanked the county’s Sheriff’s Office, Highway Department, Fairgrounds, and Recreation Department for their help in making the WLECHA conference a success.
