We now know the matchups for several local and area flights in the 2024 State Girls Tennis Tournament.
In the Division 1 Singles Bracket, Manitowoc Lincoln Junior Jordin Popp will square off with Notre Dame Senior Mia Miller, while fellow Triton, Senior Lucy Lawton, takes on Georgia Haddorff of West Bend West.
De Pere Sophomore Lillianna Graf will face Mia Franke of Kenosha Indian Trail, while Lexie Hankel, a Junior from West De Pere, has a bye.
In the D1 Double bracket, Manitowoc Lincoln’s Taylor Peterson and Zylia Kleinfeldt will face a duo from Oak Creek, while Madison and Megan Lamers of the Two Rivers/Roncalli co-op takes on a flight from Eau Claire North.
Bay Port has two flights making the trip, as Khali Stephens and Alexia Stephens have a first-round bye, and Mira Matuszewski and Rheya Gala are slatted to battle a duo from Milton.
Ana and Maria Cristescu of De Pere and Notre Dame’s Natalia Welle and Vivan Bigari each get the first round off, while fellow Tritons Sophie Lin and Mary Sullivan take on a flight from Arrowhead.
Olivia Gaskill and Sabrina Janda of Appleton North also made the cut, and will take on a duo from Oconomowoc.
In the Division 2 doubles bracket, three flights from Sheboygan County earned a spot.
Gwen Rau and Peyton Peterson of Sheboygan Falls will face a duo from Altoona, while Kohler’s Charlotte Bullard and Melanie Pellegrino battle a flight from Assumption, and Sophia Torke and Grace Villwock have a first-round bye.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on Thursday in Madison, with the champions being crowned on Saturday.
