All but three Eastern Wisconsin Counties saw an increase in gas prices over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County’s average price per gallon of fuel is up two cents to $3.07 since this time last week, while Calumet County reported an 8-cent jump to $3.08.
Outagamie County saw a four-cent increase to $3.03 per gallon, while Kewaunee County’s average is up nine cents to $3.10.
Sheboygan and Door Counties were the only areas to report declines of one cent apiece to $3.01 and $3.11 per gallon, respectively.
Brown County’s average remained unchanged at $3.04. The state average is up four cents to $3.04, while the national average is up three cents to $3.20.
That being said, when comparing the average in the seven-county area we cover to this time last year, Eastern Wisconsin’s fuel is 23 cents less expensive, currently at $3.06 compared to $3.29 at this time last year.
Also, our average so far this year is lower than the average for all of 2023.
The average this year is currently at $3.16, which is down 10 cents from the average of $3.26 through all of last year.
