Police in Appleton have de-escalated a situation involving a dangerous weapon.
The Appleton Police Department was called yesterday (October 17th) just before 11:00 a.m. for a reported disturbance with a weapon on West Schindler Place.
Arriving officers secured a perimeter of the area and attempted to contact the individuals involved.
Shortly after, at 11:25 a.m., negotiators were deployed, and they were able to deescalate the situation.
Following talks with negotiators, all parties safely exited the residence.
The investigation of the weapon disturbance is ongoing, and it is unclear what kind of weapon was used.
The Appleton Police Department thanked the public for their cooperation and patience while the road was closed for an extended period while they took care of the situation.
