A police chase on Interstate 41 ended with three individuals in custody.
The incident began after a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy made a traffic stop for an equipment violation on I-41 near Military Road on Wednesday (October 16th).
As the deputy walked up to the vehicle, the driver fled from the stop location, and the chase ensued.
Traveling northbound at high speeds on the interstate, the vehicle failed to obey the deputy’s lights and siren.
A few miles up the road, a North Fond du Lac Police Officer successfully deployed tire deflation devices, which decreased the car’s speed.
At reduced speeds, a box-in maneuver was performed, bringing an end to the chase, and all three occupants of the vehicle were arrested.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Green Bay, the front passenger, a 41-year-old Oneida man, and the back passenger, a 24-year-old Green Bay woman, all had open felony drug-related charges against them at the time of the chase.
All three are facing new charges, including possession with the intent to distribute fentanyl for the 41-year-old.
No civilians or deputies were injured during the pursuit that stretched just under seven miles.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Fond du Lac and North Fond du Lac Police Departments and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
