Senior Zylia Kleinfeldt and Junior Taylor Peterson have been eliminated from the WIAA State Girls Individual Tennis Tournament in Madison.
The talented Ships duo ran into a buzzsaw Friday morning, losing to seniors Aubrey Jayne and Mia Darr of the University School of Milwaukee 6-0, 6-1 in the second round in The Division One Doubles bracket.
They finished their season with a record of 24 and 5.
Junior Jordin Popp lost her opening-round match in singles Thursday, while The Roncalli/Two Rivers duo of Madison and Megan Lamers are currently playing their second-round match against a team from Arrowhead.
