The City of Manitowoc is getting their parks ready for the winter months.
The City’s Parks Division has begun winterizing drinking fountains and will start closing and winterizing park restrooms the week of October 28th.
Six public restrooms will remain open throughout the winter at Halvorsen, Lighthouse, and Manitou Parks, as well as at Lincoln Park Zoo, Lincoln Park Cabin Number One, and the Silver Creek Fieldhouse.
These will remain open due to recreational activities in the parks.
The Manitowoc Parks Division also hopes to keep the restrooms open at the Lincoln Park concession stand and Rheaume Park as long as weather permits.
They have also said all remaining public park restrooms will be closed on Friday, November 1st.
