McDonald’s has temporarily removed its quarter-pounder burgers from locations in and around Milwaukee, as Wisconsin is included in an E. coli warning.
The company reports that 49 people across ten states have become ill after consuming the quarter-pounders.
In response, McDonald’s has removed both the burger patties and the sliced onions used in the sandwiches.
Health officials have confirmed one death and ten hospitalizations related to the outbreak, with Colorado and Nebraska reporting the highest number of cases.
