A disguised thief was arrested at a Shawano Kwik Trip earlier this week.
The Shawano Police Department, along with the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, were called just before 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday (October 23rd) to a Kwik Trip in the 1200 block of East Green Bay Street for a robbery in progress.
Before law enforcement arrived, Kwik Trip employees were able to detain the disguised female suspect.
She was witnessed taking money from a register while making threats at the gas station employees.
When Shawano authorities arrived, the female suspect was placed in handcuffs and taken into custody.
Officers and deputies then investigated the scene, including the suspect’s vehicle, which had been modified to conceal identifying characteristics.
The female suspect has been charged with one count of attempted robbery with the threat of force.
The Shawano Police Department thanked the Kwik Trip employees and the Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in apprehending the suspect.
