The Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office says they’ve captured a copper thief.
The department announced on their Facebook page that Town of Schleswig resident Mark L. Plagemann was arrested last Wednesday (October 23rd) following a three week long investigation into the copper thefts.
Plagemann became part of the investigation after a local business had over $30,000 worth of copper wire stolen.
Plagemann attended a bail hearing last Thursday (October 24th) and got his bail set at $2,500.
He’s also being held on probation violations.
