A fire at a Two Rivers park has resulted in thousands in damage.
The Two Rivers Fire Department reports that they were dispatched to Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park yesterday (October 27th) afternoon on the report of smoke and flames emanating from one of the dugouts on the baseball field.
Arriving crews learned the whole structure had been compromised and they acted quickly to quell the flames.
The fire was fully extinguished in less than ten minutes, just before 3:00 p.m.
An early estimate puts the damage costs at approximately $7,000.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and it remains under investigation.
