A new Boys and Girls Club in Manitowoc is allowing people in for free this year.
The Boys and Girls Club of Manitowoc County announced that they’ve recently expanded and begun serving middle school youth at Washington Middle School in Manitowoc to diversify positive youth development programming.
Kids in grades six through eight are served between 3:00 and 6:00 pm each school day.
They participate in things like homework help. STEM, art, Journeys Path to Adulthood, and member-led programs.
The new Boys and Girls Club location came to fruition through a Department of Public Instruction 21st Century Community Learning Center grant with the Manitowoc Public School District.
The Washington Middle School Boys and Girls Club is the second to open in Manitowoc.
Their first location is on Dewey Street and has been open since 2022.
