The fire at a dugout in a Two Rivers park was set on purpose.
Two Rivers Police announced that they’ve arrested a suspect, 18-year-old Jeremiah Biel, after a fire yesterday afternoon at Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park on 35th Street.
An investigation found two other locations at the park where attempts were made to start fires as well.
Biel is facing charges of arson of buildings, misdemeanor bail jumping, and felony bail jumping.
He also has two other felony cases, including battery and child abuse intentionally causing harm. Two Rivers firefighters were first called to Vietnam Veterans Park yesterday afternoon (October 27th).
The fire caused $7,000 in damage.
Two Rivers Police thanked the fire department, Two Rivers Parks and Rec, and the Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center.
