The wanted suspect in the deadly Oconto County hit and run has been arrested across state lines.
The Oconto County Sheriff’s Office has announced that 32-year-old Obilio Thomas Sargento Robrelo was arrested yesterday (October 28th) in Jacksonville, Arkansas, following exhaustive law enforcement efforts.
The hit and run took place on Friday (October 25th) in the Town of Gillett when Robrelo, driving an SUV, struck a UTV and then fled the scene on foot before leaving the state.
The driver of the UTV, identified as 60-year-old retired Green Bay Police Officer Thomas Roberts, was pronounced dead on the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.
Robrelo is currently incarcerated in a the Pulaski County Regional Detention Facility awaiting extradition back to Oconto County.
After Robrelo was apprehended, the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office extended condolences to Roberts’ family and thanked the long line of law enforcement agencies who assisted in the response, investigation, and arrest involving the deadly hit and run.
