The Village of Fox Crossing has issued an update on the boil water advisory.
The advisory, which was issued early yesterday morning (October 28th), remains in place for the village’s west side system, including the area west of Little Lake Butte des Morts, Stroebe Island, West Prospect Avenue, and the Town of Clayton.
It was announced that a water main break occurred on Irish Road causing water stored in the two water towers to drain quickly, resulting in the west side system to lose pressure.
The water main has been repaired; however, the boil water advisory will remain in place until water samples sent to the DNR are deemed safe to drink.
While just an estimate, the Village of Fox Crossing has stated they are hoping the advisory to be lifted sometime on Wednesday, pending results from the DNR.
