The alleged driver in the deadly Oconto County hit and run incident has been charged.
WBAY reports that 32-year-old Obilio Tomas Sargento Roblero of Gillett has been charged with hit and run causing death, a felony offense.
The fatal crash took place on Friday evening (October 25th) in the Town of Gillett, where an SUV struck a UTV driven by retired Green Bay Police Department Detective Tom Roberts.
Roberts was later pronounced dead on the scene.
After a long search effort, the suspect was arrested in Jacksonville, Arkansas, on Monday (October 28th).
According to law enforcement, witnesses say when Roberts was struck, he was stopped attempting to aid another UTV operator who was having troubles.
Authorities have also said numerous people were in contact with Roblero while the search for him was on, with some initially lying to police to cover for him.
No details have been revealed about how authorities located the suspect in Arkansas; however, they were contacted with a photo of Roblero to confirm his identity before apprehending him.
Currently, his next court appearance has yet to be scheduled.
