As one may expect with it being election season, the price per gallon of fuel in Eastern Wisconsin dropped over the past week.
According to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, Manitowoc County’s average fell six cents since this time last week to $2.82, marking the second consecutive week of declining prices at the pump.
That is also the least expensive average reported in the county since early February and only 18 cents more than the lowest reported in 2024, which was $2.66 in the second week of January.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan and Calumet County each saw four-cent declines to $2.80 and $2.87 per gallon, respectively.
Outagamie County’s average is down a nickel to $2.82, while Brown County saw the smallest decline in our area, dropping only two cents to $2.87 per gallon.
Kewaunee County reported a nine-cent drop, which is the biggest in our area, now averaging $2.84 per gallon, while Door County’s eight-cent dip gives them an average of $2.90 per gallon.
The state average is down four cents this week to $2.85 per gallon, while the national average is down three cents to $3.10.
