Joyce H. Stuckmann, age 91 of rural Cleveland, passed away on Monday evening, October 28, 2024 at her residence with her loving family at her side.
The former Joyce Siewert was born on February 21, 1933 in the town of Centerville, daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Mrotek) Siewert and step-daughter of the late Violet (Knipp) Siewert. She grew up in the town of Centerville and was a 1951 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. Following high school Joyce attended airline school in Kansas City Missouri, and then worked for TWA Airlines as a reservationist prior to her marriage. On April 16, 1955 Joyce was married to Raymond A. Stuckmann in the rectory of St. Casimir Catholic Church at Northeim. He preceded her in death on May 14, 2003. The couple owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Centerville, retiring in 1994 and moving to her current residence.
Joyce was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and was active with the church’s Christian Women and choir. In the past Joyce enjoyed volunteering at the Holy Family Adult Day Care Center, gardening, bird watching, playing Scrabble, playing cards, shopping and eating desserts. She also loved walking and driving along beautiful Lake Michigan.
Survivors include her five children: Dean Stuckmann, Newton, Cheryl (David) Ten Hoor, Sarasota, FL, Dale (Joyce) Stuckmann, Manitowoc, Julie Stuckmann (Randi Whitt), Manitowoc, Dan (Barb Rozmarynowski) Stuckmann, Manitowoc; eight grandchildren: Amy Stuckmann and her fiancé Don Draheim, Sheri (Mitch) Dixon, Brian Ten Hoor and his special friend Allana Allman, Amanda Ten Hoor, Brandon Stuckmann and his special friend Katie Radandt, Kristy (Ben) Schmidt, Scott (Stephanie) Stuckmann, Justin (Christi) Stuckmann; seven great-grandchildren: Logan, Atticus, Willow, Addyson, Bently, Mila, Mara; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Daniel (Janice) Siewert, Manitowoc, Valeria Stuckmann, Howards Grove, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
A Memorial service to celebrate Joyce’s life will be held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 8100 Brunner Road, Newton, with Rev. David Beaudry officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial, with burial at St. John Ebenezer Reformed Cemetery in the town of Centerville. Relatives and friends are invited to visit family at the church on Thursday from 12:00 noon until the time of service at 2:00 pm.
