Another person has tried and failed to get away with stealing from the Manitowoc Walmart.
Officers were called to the store on Calumet Avenue just before 9:00 Monday morning after a man was seen putting a 12-pack of beer into a backpack and fleeing the store.
It was confirmed through video surveillance that the 28-year-old man also took a jacket and the aforementioned backpack.
Then, a man matching the description of the suspect was arrested Tuesday morning in connection to a vehicle theft.
The man was confirmed to have been the same suspect from the Walmart theft, and charges of Retail Theft and six counts of Bail Jumping were filed against the man.
The man also has several open cases against him in Manitowoc County Court, including charges of Obstructing, Operating While Revoked, and numerous counts of Bail Jumping.
