Another contested race in Wisconsin is going in favor of Republicans.
Candidate Duane Shukoski is conceding the race in the 53rd Assembly District.
Shukoski was the Democrat running against Dean Kaufert in the newly redrawn district that covers the Neenah-Menasha area.
Kaufert is projected to win by only 365 votes.
Shukoski thanked everyone who supported his campaign plus all the volunteers and those who answered their doors.
He continues saying, “Although we came up short, I am honored to have earned the trust of so many community leaders, neighbors, and new friends. I want to congratulate Dean Kaufert and wish them the best of luck in the Assembly.”
