Four people were arrested after a traffic stop in Manitowoc.
Manitowoc police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of South 33rd and Dale Streets just after 2:15 Tuesday afternoon after a witness reported seeing a 32-year-old woman with a warrant for her arrest enter the vehicle.
The woman was quickly arrested and admitted to police that she had been dropping her property off at various locations because she had planned on turning herself in.
Three other individuals in the vehicle were also known to have a history of drug use, including the 39-year-old female driver, who gave a different story and timeline to the officers.
She consented to having the vehicle searched.
A capped syringe was located inside a Red Bull can belonging to a 40-year-old male passenger and a baggie of what was later determined to be meth was located under the seat where a 37-year-old man was sitting.
While the officers were searching her backpack, it was noticed that the driver had something in her mouth.
The officers attempted to get her to spit it out, but she swallowed it before they could get it out.
She later admitted it was a baggie of drugs placed inside a water bottle by the other woman.
All four individuals were arrested, with the driver facing charges of Obstructing, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, being the Keeper of a Drug Vehicle, and Possession of a Controlled Substance in Jail, as a baggie of drugs was found in her bra.
The 37-year-old man is facing charges of Possession of Meth with Intent to Deliver and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping, while the 40-year-old man is facing a single count of Felony Bail Jumping and Carrying a Concealed Knife.
The woman with a warrant for her arrest is facing charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver and two counts of Felony Bail Jumping,
